The RTR 2024 Road trip will be to the Hudson Valley on July 12 to July 14. And staying at the Historic Thayer Hotel right in West Point. We have a block of rooms reserved at a special rate and once you sign up we will send the room block code in your confirmation email.The rooms are $279-$299 a night and does not include taxes or daily hotel charge of $25 per day ( This includes coffee bar in Bistro 1926, internet, and valet parking.
If you sign up for this trip and need to cancel, and your room is not filled by a person on the waitlist you will be responsible for reimbursing RTR for the two night's room charges. To be able to offer these trips we have to sign a contract and commit to the number of rooms we reserve. We hope you understand.
This is the sign-up sheet for Lunch on Friday and any add-ons that you would like to partake in. Wendy has done an extraordinary job in planning this trip, so partake in as many as you would like, hopefully all of them, but we'll leave it up to you.
Friday will start out at the Montgomery Community College at 10am. From there we will caravan, the back way, to our lunch spot. After lunch is finished, you are then free to leave and have a nice drive on Seven Lakes Drive and to check-in at the Thayer anytime after 3:30pm.
Friday Night we are having a group dinner at The Storm King Lounge in the town of Cornwall. We will have a family style meal with salad, pasta, steak, chicken and desserts. $96pp including tax/tip (there will be a cash bar) . The restaurant is a short distance from the hotel. Please try to attend this one if at all possible.
Saturday morning you are on your own for breakfast if you wish. Then we will be doing a drive to Kingston, where we will take a boat tour of the waters of the Hudson Valley, and lunch plus a stop or two on the way home $100pp all in (Includes Boat tour lunch and tax, tips).
Sunday on your own to so whatever you want to do.
